Three new Commerce options available for businesses to accept online payments
Scotiabank Cayman is reporting good uptake on its package of eCommerce solutions launched in late 2022. The payment system enables businesses of all sizes to accept online payments. Marketed as Scotia eCom+ , the Bank now offers three scalable solutions that are designed to increase access to a more broadened marketplace and expand the reach of local businesses through ecommerce payments.
“ Burgeoning in the pandemic across the region and here in Cayman, there are several businesses including micro retailers and social media based businesses that have been offering virtual services and online shopping options. Many of them started offering services during the pandemic using a variety of makeshift payment solutions, however this is now an opportunity for such customers to streamline these payments with an affordable, easy to access solution that will also help them to manage risks,” shared Pascal Gajraj, Director & Head Wholesale Banking at Scotiabank Cayman.
Scotia eCom+ offers these solutions in support of the expansion of their customer base by providing solutions that facilitate seamless processing of payments irrespective of where customers are located. These gateway payment services are controlled by Scotiabank allowing for faster deployment and a more cost-effective end-to-end solution for the customer.
“This suite of solutions is simple to use, convenient and is ideal for small businesses who previously could not afford the cost of deploying eCommerce payment options in their business,” Pascal continued.
“Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) that wish to conduct multi-currency transactions from anywhere in the world on any device in a safe and reliable manner can benefit from Scotia eCom+ as it offers convenient scalability as the business grows. Some can simply use a secure link that we provide to accept payments and we also have options for those who already have a website and wish to offer online payment capabilities,” he further noted.
The new systems also offer fraud protection for both buyers and businesses, using methods such as two-factor authentication and the ability to conveniently access online real-time reporting to manage sales transactions, from any device at any time from any location.
