SMS recently arranged for their Community Outreach Group to collect and donate “wish list” items to The Pines Residential Home in Grand Cayman.
It is important for our not-for-profit to be involved in the Cayman community and as such, we reached out to our club members so that we could provide The Pines Residential Home with the items they currently need. We want to instil in our swimmers the importance of caring for and looking after the older generation in the community and solidify the values of working together to assist others.
The donations were delivered to collection points and collated ready for presentation to The Pines on Saturday 21 May. Our swimmers were keen to present the items to residents - in doing so they can see for themselves and understand the difference teamwork can make both in the community just as it does in the pool.
We would like to also thank Book Nook and Fashions Affair for their generosity and assistance in this project.
