Seventh Day Adventists: Countdown to the end

Last week, Judith McFarlane said, "We’re having a march for our campaign coming up on the 25th of September which is called Count Down to the End. We want people to know that this world is coming to an end and this march is the beginning of it and we’re here to tell the Cayman Islands that Jesus Christ is Lord,” said Judith McFarlane, one of the marchers. “The campaign involves singing, teaching, preaching, praying. Five churches are grouping together to put on this campaign for four weeks. We are starting on the 25TH of September, and carrying on Sunday, Monday Tuesday Wednesday, and Friday and Sabbath we are back at Lions Centre. The big message is ‘Get ready Jesus Christ is coming again.’”

“Signs are showing us that his coming is imminent. Signs in the sun, which is getting hotter than before, and comets flairs and asteroids, signs in the political world. Jesus said this would happen in Matthew 24 also in Luke 21 he talks about the disease that would happen and speaks of ‘wars and rumors of wars.’ All these things are happening at this moment so we are here to say yes there is hope there is a better day coming. That hope is there is a new world and Jesus Christ said he is going to restore this earth.

The March started at Hurleys parking lot and finished at the Lions Centre, which is going to be the site of the campaign. Edris Ocho, a coordinator, said “The churches involved are Kings, Maranatha, Ephesus, Beria Savannah, Ebeneza “

On the stage Dr. Shion O’Connor who is going to be the main speaker for the campaign, was getting everyone prepared. “The focus right now is to get your invited guests here. That is where the heart of the campaign is, so what I am going to invite you to do is to start your invitation from now. Start with the members of the family who you would not want to enter the kingdom without,” he said.

“Begin in your mind to talk with God about the person or persons you would like for God to save in this campaign. I want you to call that person’s name before God because your mission in this campaign by the grace of God is to help save that person. As Joshua said, ‘Give me this mountain’ you can say, ‘Lord, give me this person.’”

One of the attendees, Sheldon McLean said, “I want to get involved because we are living in the end times we are approaching the end of the world and we see the signs in the bible playing out for example, that the hearts of men shall become desperately wicked and the bible also speaks about great distresses, and destructions by sea and by land and that we shall see signs in the sun and in the moon and everything and nation shall rise against nation and kingdoms against kingdoms. We are seeing all of these things happening now so that is why it is important for me to be a part of this movement so I can get other people involved and let them know that the savior is coming so that they can get their lives in order.”
