Just before 2:30PM on Thursday, 30 January, police responded to a report of a sinkhole that appeared on Watercourse Road, between Eureka Drive and Hamlet Lane in West Bay. The sinkhole is along the roadway and officers on scene have marked out the area for motorist to be aware of it.
Motorists travelling along Watercourse road are being asked to proceed with caution and to avoid the area if possible. The National Roads Authority have been informed and will be addressing the sinkhole in a timely manner.
The RCIPS would like to thank the public for their co-operation and would encourage anyone who comes across any other sinkholes or other disruption to the flow of traffic, to please inform 9-1-1.
