About the Commissions Secretariat
The Commissions Secretariat was established in 2010 under the Office of the Deputy Governor to provide support to the independent entities established by the 2009 Constitution as “Institutions Supporting Democracy”. The Commissions Secretariat aims to maintain the independence and integrity of the various constitutionally created commissions to which the Secretariat provides strategic, analytic, research, and administrative support. The Secretariat is led by a Manager who is supported by a team of Investigators, Analysts/Administrators, and other Administrative Officers; a professional team encompassing a wide-range of academic qualifications and diverse professional experiences.
The Secretariat strives to uphold principles of accountability and transparency in its commitment to ethically sound managerial strategies and operating procedures. It further seeks to enhance public education as it relates to democracy in general; a cross-cutting goal for all commissions. For more information visit www.commissionssecretariat.gov.ky
