Last Friday marked a significant milestone for the business students at the University College of the Cayman Islands as they were inducted into the esteemed Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society. This prestigious recognition on 1 December 2023 was a celebration of academic excellence, honoring 20 students and 2 members of faculty who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their business studies.

Sigma Beta Delta, an internationally recognized honor society, celebrates students from accredited business programmes who have achieved superior academic records. The induction ceremony on 1 December 2023 emphasized the hard work and dedication of these students and lauded the students for their remarkable accomplishments.

The University College of the Cayman Islands takes immense pride in these students and faculty, who are not only setting high standards in their academic pursuits but are also poised to become future leaders in the business world.

The Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society is for students in business, management, and administration. Membership in Sigma Beta Delta is the highest national recognition a business student can receive at a college or university with a Sigma Beta Delta chapter. To be eligible for membership, a business student must rank in the top 20 percent of the junior, senior or graduate class and be invited to membership by the faculty officers. The honor means wisdom (sigma), honor (beta) and pursuit (delta) of meaningful aspirations.
