Following several months of concern because of a substantial obstruction at the end of Mary Mollie Hydes Road in West Bay, just where it merges with Town Hall Road, The West Bay Concerned Citizens group is glad to see that the obstructions have been finally removed. The removal follows a communication from the Planning Department that the obstructions, which included several large boulders, and a garden area and palm trees which had been added to the front of a large residential property, was indeed contrary to the Department’s regulations, and that, until it was removed, no Certificate of Occupancy for the building would be issued.
Ezmie Bodden, Concerned Citizens Chairperson said: “There is one comment which I would like to make. The new trees that are re-planted up against the wall will grow into larger trees in the future. I hope that Government is mindful of this that branches will overhang into the road.”
Ms Bodden sent these photos to show that the obstruction had been removed.
