Just after 8PM, yesterday 29 July, police were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre, to the junction of Shedden Road and Eastern Avenue, where it was reported that a robbery was taking place
The Cayman Islands Legislative Assembly on Wednesday rejected a proposed Domestic Partnership Law by a narrow but yet telling 9-8 vote, despite a passionate appeal by Premier Alden McLaughlin.
With attention focused on the Domestic Partnership Bill in Monday’s sitting of the Legislative Assembly, there is a further series of questions that the Official Opposition has tabled on a range of pressing issues.
In summary, while we appreciate the background and context in which the Bill was drafted, it is our
view that the Bill is not fit for purpose and ignores practical and commercial considerations of the
modern wedding industry in the Cayman Islands.
CMO, Dr John Lee, reports 225 COVID-19 tests have been carried out
since it was last reported on Tuesday, 21 July. All were negative.

Friday’s report from the Public Health Department showed that there haven't been any new cases confirmed since the beginning of this month.
