The RCIPS cybercrime team are aware of a significant increase of QR code scams. QR codes are a type of barcode, or scannable pattern, that contain various forms of data, like website links. Attached is an example of a QR code.
Shortly after 9:10PM on Friday, 17 November, officers responded to a report that a person had been attacked by a dog outside an address on Bankers Road in West Bay.
On Sunday 13 November, around 12.30AM, while conducting ongoing targeted operations, police identified a type of vehicle commonly associated with robberies, and a driver acting suspiciously in the vicinity of the Reflections liquor store on Maclendon Drive.
At about 9:20PM on Saturday, 18 November, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of an aggravated burglary at an address on Austin Conolly Drive in East End
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service have been holding community meetings across the entire country, including the sister islands.
At about 1:30AM on Monday, 13 November, officers received a report that there had been an altercation inside a nightclub on Canal Point Drive, in the Strand Entertainment Complex, and a man with a firearm had been seen.
Shortly after 10:25AM on Monday, 13 November, officers were dispatched to a report of a serious sexual assault.
Just after 1:30AM on Thursday, 9 November, police were dispatched to a report of a burglary in progress at a residence located on Seaview Road, East End.
