Police Investigate Aggravated Burglary in Bodden Town

The Customs and Border Control Service announced that on Tuesday, 15th August 2023, three (3) unlicensed firearms and over one hundred (100) rounds of ammunition were intercepted, along with a quantity of cannabis and cannabis products which were being imported through a Courier company.

Shortly after midnight on Sunday 13 August, police and other emergency services responded to a report of an altercation in a parking lot outside a bar on Shedden Road, George Town.
The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service (CBC)
confirms that at approximately 6:08am on Thursday, August 10th, a vessel with ten (10) male migrants
disembarked in Gun Bay, East End in Grand Cayman.
On Saturday 5 August, police arrested a 47 year-old-man from George Town, who is believed to be connected to the recent spate of thefts from vehicles that have occurred in the central George Town area.
Police have received complaints of a series of incidents where women have reported being inappropriately touched by another passenger while traveling on a public transport bus.
Police are investigating a number of vehicle related crimes in recent weeks, including thefts of vehicles and thefts of items from vehicles, particularly in the Bodden Town and George Town districts. Commonly stolen items continue to include tools, electronics and money.
