This year, the RCIPS will be hosting Police Week for the first time in 28 years and it will take place between November 4th – 8th. This is an internationally recognised event, which honours, highlights and lend peer support to police officers across the globe.
On Sunday, 15 September, officers responded to a report of a serious assault which occurred at an address off Northward Road, Bodden Town. It was reported that a man at the location, brandished a machete and a hammer, and aggressively approached another man known to him.
Shortly after midnight, on Wednesday morning 18 September, police responded to a report of a robbery at a business premises located on Shamrock Road, in the vicinity of Selkirk Drive, where it was reported that a man armed with a machete attended the location and demanded cash from an employee.

Shortly before 12.30AM, Monday 16 September, police responded to a report of two persons attempting to break into a vehicle on Smith Road, near the 4 Way Junction with Hospital Road.
Shortly after 1:00PM on Wednesday 11 September, officers received a report that a woman at Seven Mile Public Beach had brandished a knife and attacked officers from the Department of Commerce & Investment (DCI) and the Public Lands Commission (PLC). She then fled the location.

The Cayman Islands Regiment will host a reconnaissance (recce) visit by members of the Jamaica Defense Force (JDF) and Jamaican National Reserves Force (JNR) from Friday, 13 September through Sunday, 15 September 2024.
