A man, age 24 of Cayman Brac, who was arrested on 12 December, has been formally charged with eight charges including: Causing Fear of Provocation of Violence, Attempted Arson, Assaulting a Police Officer and Disorderly Conduct.
On Monday morning, 13 December, police responded to a report of a firearm incident in the vicinity of John McLean Drive in East End.
Just after 3:30PM on Thursday 9 December, officers from various units executed a search warrant at a residence located on Bodden Town Road. During the search, a handgun, as well as a magazine containing ammunition was located by the search team.
Just after 3PM on Sunday 12 December, police responded to the Lakeside Villas off Esterly Tibbetts Highway, where it was reported that a disturbance involving a machete was taking place between a man and a woman in the car park area of the complex.
On Monday evening, 13 December, police received a report of an armed robbery which had taken place early that morning, around 05.50am, in the vicinity of Shedden Road & Eastern Avenue, George Town.
Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) confirms that a vessel with 3 migrants arrived in Cayman Brac this morning.
On Thursday 9 December, Freddy Manuel Diaz of West Bay was convicted of Possession of Indecent Images of Children and Accessing Child Pornography. Diaz will be sentenced on 18 February 2022.

On Friday morning, 3 December, RCIPS officers in West Bay conducted searches at two addresses in the vicinity of West Church Street, under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
