The RCIPS is informing the public that the West Bay Police Station has now returned to 242 West Church Street.
Just before 8PM last night, 16 October, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of a two-vehicle collision on South Church Street in George Town.
At about 11:20PM yesterday, 14 October, officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision with injuries at a residence on Elizabeth Street in West Bay.
The Cayman Islands Coast Guard confirmed yesterday, midday, 13 October, that the search for the man who went missing from a vessel in the North Sound on Monday evening, 11 October, was concluded
The RCIPS continues its efforts to ensure road safety through enforcement. Since 11 August, officers have been targeting motorists using mobile phones while driving, and in the month of September issued over 150 tickets for this offense.
Shortly before 4:40PM on Friday, 8 October, officers responded to a report of a wounding at a business plaza on Bodden Town Road, east of Lake Destiny Drive.
Just after 1:10AM on Monday morning 11 October the RCIPS Firearms Response Unit responded to a 911-Emegrency dispatch to a report of shots being fired in the area of Finch Drive, West Bay.
Over the past three months, since early July, there has been an increase in reports of thefts from construction sites and from vehicles involved in construction, maintenance and gardening work. The items taken have included both building materials and tools.
