Police Respond to Fatal Collision in Savannah

In response to community concerns reported to the police about illegal activity and allegations of immigration offences, RCIPS and CBC officers conducted a joint operation early on the morning of Thursday, 5 December, just off the Cypros Road area of George Town.
Shortly after 2:20PM on Monday , 2 December, officers responded to a report of a person in distress at a hotel on the Queen’s Highway in East End. It was reported that a woman had encountered difficulties when swimming in the hotel pool and lost consciousness.

Just after 1:15AM on Tuesday 3rd December, police were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a convenience store off Eastern Avenue in George Town where it was reported that a robbery had taken place.
Police have arrested a man, age 19 of George Town, on suspicion of money laundering offenses, as a result of investigations into a currently circulating text message scam targeting local banking customers, which has seen several persons lose significant amounts of money.
Over the past two weeks, police have found that there has been an increase in motor vehicle collisions.
The 2024 Cayman Islands Marathon takes place this Sunday, 1 December, from 4:30AM to 12:00PM. The following road closures will be in place between 30 November and 1 December, in order to facilitate the event:
Romario Brown, age 23 of West Bay, who was circulated as wanted on 18 November, has now been arrested by the police after attending the Cayman Islands Detention Centre yesterday, 27 November. He is currently in custody pending further investigations.
Police are seeking information from the community regarding the whereabouts of 32-year-old, Travis Webb.
