The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 552 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since it was last reported on Friday, 10 July. Two were positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 disease, and the people were identified through the screening programme.
One is a returning traveller currently in isolation and the other is presumed to have acquired the condition locally. Both individuals are asymptomatic.
