Blackbeard’s is delighted to announce that their newest store, located on Eastern Avenue opposite Kirk Market, has now opened.
The new store is the largest in the Blackbeard's chain, which has five other locations on Grand Cayman and one on Cayman Brac. The store, which is situated at the old Cox Lumber site has had a full refurbishment and now boasts the largest range of wines and spirits, on island.
Cayman Distributors Group General Manager Alex McClenaghan credits the diligent work of Simon Watson from DART and Helen Wong, Blackbeard’s Retail Manager for the state-of-the-art development. “We initially acquired the old Cox Lumber site in November 2020 and the team has worked tirelessly to ensure this store is one we can be truly proud of. The design and layout are in keeping with Blackbeard’s modern ambiance and the store layout has been carefully planned to ensure our large range is easy to navigate. Our trademark walk-in cooler is even bigger and allows us to offer an extensive range of chilled beers and wines on site.”
One of the key advantages of the new store is that it is conveniently located for shoppers. Wine Specialist George Nistor talks about the advantages of this new location “Our aim is to offer customers not only the widest selection of local and international brands but the best customer experience. The store is in a great central location so shoppers can easily pop in and select wines and beers for their various events. All the floor staff has been expertly trained and wine specialists on-site can advise on suitable food and wine pairing choices.”
The store is open just in time for Christmas and Helen Wong, Retail Manager, is enthusiastic about the new shopper experience “Our brand ethos is ‘Celebrate your moment’ and this season we are offering a number of promotions to help bring Cayman some holiday cheer. We also have four new Caymanian staff members joining the team who are on hand to help shoppers choose their seasonal beverage selection. Blackbeard’s aim is to offer a first-rate shopper experience as well as the largest selection of local and international brands in Cayman.
