BURGER KING CAYMAN ISLANDS HOST THEIR THIRD ANNUAL FISHING TOURNAMENT - BK BIG FISH

Burger King is a longtime supporter of the Cayman Islands Angling Club and local fishing tournaments and is thrilled to announce their third annual fishing tournament in 2020, BK BIG FISH. The tournament will take place over three full fishing days, March 6th - 8th, with over $55,000 in cash and prizes to be won and giveaways for all participants.

In conjunction with the BK BIG FISH tournament, we are honored to be partnering with the International Game Fish Association in their third Cayman Outreach Program, supported by the Cayman Islands Angling Club, the Department of Environment and the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation on March 7th and 8th at George Town Yacht Club. The aim of the clinics is to educate youths on conservation, as well as the basics of fishing including basic tackle description, knot tying, fish handling, dehooking, fishing safety and environmental stewardship. The camp will conclude with a Family Fishing Derby. In addition to the two-day fishing clinic is the Fishing Family Fun Day organized by Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation and Car City. The day will include virtual reality, snow cones, face painting, games and activities for the entire family. The Fishing Family Fun Day will be on Saturday, March 7th from 12 - 4pm at George Town Yacht Club.

Registration for the tournament will be held on the evening of Wednesday, March 4th at the Barcadere/GTYC, and at Captain’s Table in the Brac. BK Big Fish is proud to be partnering with the YMCA of the Cayman Islands to raise much needed funds for this charitable organization (www.ymcacayman.ky).

Burger King aims to create a fun and rewarding tournament that is accessible to fishermen of all levels and demographics. For more information please contact bkbigfish@bk.com.ky, or visit the Cayman Islands Angling Club website fishcayman.com.
