Call for Speakers: Shape the Future at the 2025 Cayman Islands Economic Forum
The Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce an open call for innovative and forward-thinking speakers to present at the highly anticipated 2025 Economic Forum. This premier event, scheduled for January 17, 2025, will focus on critical issues impacting the Cayman Islands’ future, with a spotlight on the Advancing Quality-of-Life pillar from the Chamber’s three-year advocacy agenda and action plan.
We are seeking dynamic speakers to deliver 10-minute, TED Talk-style presentations addressing innovative approaches to enhancing the Cayman Islands’ infrastructure. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
• Waste Management: Sustainable strategies for efficient waste solutions.
• Traffic and Transport: Smart and practical solutions to ease congestion and improve mobility.
• Housing: Innovative approaches to creating affordable and sustainable housing options.
This is a unique platform to share bold ideas, engage with business leaders, policymakers, and the wider community, and contribute to shaping the Cayman Islands’ path toward a sustainable and thriving future.
Submission Process
Interested individuals should submit:
1. A one-page summary of their proposed presentation by January 6, 2025.
2. The selection committee will review submissions and invite the top six candidates to present to a Chamber Council sub-committee by January 9, 2025.
3. Three finalists will be confirmed by January 10, 2025, and will present at the forum on January 17.
Presentations should inspire action, provoke thought, and offer real-world, impactful solutions. Creativity, originality, and practical insights are strongly encouraged.
