Community 09 Apr, 2025 Follow News

The highly anticipated annual fashion fundraiser, held in the Paseo at Camana Bay brought together the community in a dazzling evening of style, solidarity, and generosity. Attendees enjoyed a stunning runway showcase, with all clothing provided by Sand Angels and Ame, one of Cayman’s premier fashion retailers, featuring a carefully curated selection of resort wear, swimwear, and luxury apparel.

This year’s event was made possible by the generous support of Health City Cayman Islands, serving as the title sponsor. Their continued commitment to cancer care and unwavering support for CICS played a pivotal role in the event’s success.

Rebekah Brooks, Chair of CICS and Head of Sales and Marketing at Health City Cayman Islands, expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support:

“Catwalk for Cancer is more than just a fashion show — it’s a movement of hope, resilience, and community support. We are incredibly thankful to everyone who contributed — our sponsors, designers, models, volunteers, and, of course, the generous donors who made this night a success. Every dollar raised goes directly towards providing essential care and resources for those battling cancer in the Cayman Islands.”

Catherine Dawson-James, Owner of Sandangels Group of Companies, also highlighted the impact of the funds raised:

“It’s inspiring to see the community come together for such an important cause. Fashion has the power to bring people together, and Catwalk for Cancer is a testament to how style and philanthropy can make a real difference. Sand Angels is proud to be part of this event, dressing the models in beautiful pieces that celebrate confidence and strength. We are honored to support CICS in their mission to assist those affected by cancer.”

The night was filled with unforgettable moments, from powerful survivor stories to show-stopping fashion. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and sponsors, Catwalk for Cancer continues to be a beacon of support for those in need.
