Cayman Connection Partners with Resilience Cayman

Cayman Connection is delighted to announce the upcoming partnership with Resilience Cayman and Local Market, to be launched at Cayman Day in the UK this Saturday!

This unique partnership will initially be focussed on the online Cayman products shop offerings and will expand into partnerships to progress and promote initiatives that support students and young professionals overseas, including a newly established management trainee programme from Resilience Cayman.

Cayman Connection is a global network for Caymanians Overseas, supporting and connecting Caymanians now studying or living overseas. The network currently promotes and sells a limited range of Cayman products to members and Caymanians overseas, and will soon be expanding the range, in conjunction with Local Market. The network also promotes Caymanian-owned business that are overseas and wishes to help these businesses also sell in Cayman.

UK Director Kate Kandiah commented “We have long been wanting to expand our Cayman Products range for promotion and sale in the UK and have been limited with our resources and funds to host a full ecommerce site and coordinate with vendors. We are happy to be focussing on this now to expand the offering and sell a range of Cayman products overseas, with the help of Resilience Cayman, just in time for Christmas! Also, our members overseas have been asking for some time about how they can buy local products in Cayman for family and friends back home, and now they can! With our partnership we will promote a wider range of Cayman products overseas and share special offers specifically for our members. We are also happy that those at home can also enjoy products coming from Caymanians overseas.”

Reliance Cayman Director Jan Gupta said of the partnership “Resilience Cayman was founded in early 2020 and intends to be a support system for all residents and entrepreneurs of Cayman through local initiatives. The not for profit programmes encourage the self-empowerment of Cayman society, and we recognise that we are very aligned with the ongoing mission of Cayman Connection to support, connect and celebrate Cayman overseas. We encourage recent Caymanian graduates in the UK and elsewhere who want to explore career opportunities in Cayman and local vendors and artists wanting to market their products abroad under the MADE IN CAYMAN label to contact us for more information about our initiatives”.

Resilience Cayman’s Programmes for students and young professionals include connecting employers and qualified trainees, providing them with work experience and educational grants while helping local business growth, which is another strand of work for Cayman Connection, making a collaboration very timely and appropriate.

Ms Kandiah concluded “We look forward to working with Resilience Cayman to strengthen support for Caymanians in the islands and overseas and will share more news as we develop.”
