Cayman Islands youth shine on the International stage

Five young ladies from the Cayman Islands have made their mark on the global stage, achieving top honours at the prestigious World Imperial Beauty Scholarship Competition held in Orlando, Florida, from 17th to 20th July 2024. These remarkable achievements follow their success in the World Imperial Beauty Scholarship Competition Cayman Islands held earlier this year in March, where six contestants were crowned in their respective divisions.

Representing the Cayman Islands with grace and excellence, the young queens competed against participants from countries including Chile, Honduras, Great Britain, USA, Australia, Bahamas, and three locations in Africa. The competition was intense, featuring some of the best and brightest young talents from around the world.

Thanks to the support of the Ministry and Cayman Airways, the Cayman Islands’ National Flag Carrier, five of the six crowned winners travelled to Orlando to participate in this international event. These young ladies not only represented their homeland with pride but also brought home an impressive array of awards and titles.

The participants from the Cayman Islands were as follows:

Junior Division:

• Cienna Bush – Little Miss Division

• Annalia Carter – Junior Miss Division

• Kalani Menendez – Pre-Teen Division

Senior Division:

• Adriana Swaby – Teen Division

• Juliana Myers – Miss Division

The results speak volumes about their dedication and talent.

Annalia Carter was named 1st Runner-Up in the Junior Miss Division and also received the Spokesperson Award, and Academic Achievement.

Juliana Meyer secured the 1st Runner-Up position in the Miss Division.

Adriana Swaby earned 2nd Runner-Up in the Teen Division and was recognized with the Hospitality Award.

Kalani Menendez and Cienna Bush emerged as the standout winners in their respective divisions, bringing home the coveted titles of World Imperial Pre-Teen and Little Miss Queens for 2024.

In addition to their titles, both Kalani and Cienna received numerous individual awards:

12-year-old Kalani Menendez from Bodden Town:

• Crowned World Imperial Beauty Pre-Teen 2024

• Awards: Casual Wear, Most Photogenic, Model of the Year, Best Interview, Academic Achievement, Hope Service Award, National Appearance

6-year-old Cienna Bush from West Bay:

• Awards: Glamour Model, Casual Wear, Cultural Wear, Model of the Year, Rising Star, Spokes Model, Best Interview, Academic Achievement, Community Service, Hope Service Award

These young Caymanians have not only achieved their dreams but have also forged meaningful friendships with their peers from around the world. Their success was made possible through the unwavering support of their families, the guidance from Toastmasters Cayman, mentorship from Miss Monyque Brooks and True Legacy Coaching, and the dedication of their parents.

The World Imperial Beauty Scholarship Competition was a highly challenging event, bringing together top contenders from across the globe. Yet, these five young ladies stood out, proudly representing the Cayman Islands and bringing two prestigious titles back to their shores.
