The Cayman Motoring Federation (CMF) is proud to announce its official approval by the World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). This recognition marks a significant milestone for the CMF and highlights its commitment to upholding international standards in motorsport.

The FIA is the governing body for motorsport worldwide, responsible for promoting safety, fairness, and sustainability in all forms of motor racing. The CMF’s approval at the WMSC meeting signifies that it has met the stringent criteria set forth by the FIA and is now recognized as an authorized national motorsport federation.

“This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire Cayman Motoring Federation team,” said Ms. Jane Scaletta, President of the CMF. “We are delighted to be granted FIA approval, which will open up numerous opportunities for our motorsport community in the Cayman Islands. This recognition will facilitate increased participation, enhanced safety measures, and the ability to host international events on our beautiful shores.”

With the FIA’s approval, the CMF will now have access to FIA resources, guidance, and expertise in the development of motorsport in the Cayman Islands. This collaboration will enable the CMF to further improve safety standards, promote youth development programs, and foster the growth of motorsport at all levels.

The approval process involved a thorough assessment of the CMF’s governance, administration, sporting regulations, and technical standards. The FIA conducted an in-depth evaluation to ensure that the CMF met the requirements necessary to uphold the FIA’s values and objectives.

As an FIA-approved national federation, the CMF will benefit from increased exposure and recognition on the international stage. The CMF will have the opportunity to collaborate with other FIA member federations, participate in FIA-sanctioned events, and contribute to the global motorsport community.

“We look forward to building strong relationships with other FIA member federations and working together to advance the sport we all love,” added Ms. Scaletta. “We are excited about the future of motorsport in the Cayman Islands and the potential it holds for our athletes, teams, and motorsport enthusiasts.”

The Cayman Motoring Federation extends its gratitude to the FIA and the World Motor Sport Council for their support, guidance, and recognition. This significant achievement will serve as a stepping stone for the CMF as it continues to elevate motorsport in the Cayman Islands and contribute to the global motorsport landscape.
