Celebrate the Season at the CICBD’s Small Business Holiday Market

The Cayman Islands Centre for Business Development (CICBD) invites everyone to ring in the festive season at its highly anticipated, annual Small Business Holiday Market on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 4pm-10pm at Cardinall Avenue and Albert Panton Drive. With this year’s enchanting theme, ‘Holiday Bites, Sips & Crafted Gifts,’ attendees can look forward to a day of shopping, entertainment, and holiday cheer—all while supporting over 40 local vendors in the heart of our nation’s capital.

This annual event, now a cherished staple on the Cayman holiday calendar, promises something for everyone: unique, Cayman-made gifts; delicious food and beverages; live entertainment; family-friendly activities; exciting prize giveaways; and even a chance to capture the magic of the season with Santa Claus himself. Whether you’re seeking thoughtful Christmas gifts or simply looking to immerse yourself in the community spirit, the Small Business Holiday Market offers the perfect setting.

Newly appointed Deputy Premier and Minister for Social Development and Innovation, Hon. Kenneth Bryan, shared his enthusiasm for the event, emphasising its unique contributions to the community:

“The Small Business Holiday Market is more than a celebration of local entrepreneurship. It’s a showcase of the creativity and innovation that make our Islands special. By choosing to shop local, we’re not just supporting small businesses; we’re investing in products that carry the heart and soul of the Cayman Islands, with a focus on quality over quantity. I invite everyone – both locals and visitors - to come out and experience the lights, live music, food and festivities at this wonderful event, while celebrating the spirit of the Christmas season in true Caymanian style.”

This year’s ‘Holiday Bites, Sips & Crafted Gifts’ theme adds an extra layer of excitement, focusing on the sensory delights of the season while highlighting the exceptional craftsmanship of Cayman’s small businesses. Thais Ducent, Director of the CICBD, expressed her pride in how the market has grown over the years:

“The Small Business Holiday Market has become a beloved tradition, drawing families, friends, and visitors to experience the best of Cayman’s local talent. This year’s theme invites everyone to indulge in festive flavors and discover beautifully crafted gifts that make the season special. It’s incredible to see the community come together to support our vendors and celebrate the innovation and passion that drive their success.”

As we embrace the season of giving, the CICBD invites you to support Cayman’s vibrant small business community. By doing so, you’ll not only find one-of-a-kind gifts but also contribute to a more sustainable future, where local innovation thrives.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 7, 2024, and join the CICBD at the Small Business Holiday Market from 4pm-10pm in downtown George Town. Let’s celebrate the spirit of the season while empowering the entrepreneurs who make our islands shine.
