The Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA) will hold its 17th Annual Awards Gala on Saturday, 27 Sept. at the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, the institute announced. The event recognises Caymanians and permanent residents who have reached academic milestones in their accounting careers as well as those who have made a significant impact on the profession in the Cayman Islands.
Twenty honourees were recognised for having earned their bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and/or professional qualification last year. CIIPA also presents awards to recognise a Rising Star within the profession, an Outstanding Member of CIIPA, and a Pioneer for making a lasting impact in the Cayman Islands.
“The annual Awards Gala is one of my favourite events of the year,” CIIPA Chief Executive Officer Sheree Ebanks said. “It’s so inspiring to see and recognise the achievements of the next generation of accounting leaders and celebrate those who have contributed to the profession. It’s a time to reflect on how far we’ve come and to get excited about the future.”
With the announcement of the Gala date, CIIPA also opened its call for honourees and special awards nominations.
If you or someone you know is Caymanian or a permanent resident and has completed a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in accounting or completed a professional accounting qualification in the last two years, please complete the CIIPA Academic Milestone Honouree form, found here.
