Cox Lumber just announced its 2 "building success" scholarship winners. Halle Whittaker, a recent graduate of St Ignatius High School will be attending Manchester University this fall to major in finance. Halle was active in many extra curricular activities including Cayman Islands junior achievement. Janelle Thomas, also a graduate of St Ignatius High, will be attending Solent University in Southampton this fall and major in accounting. For the past 2 summers, Janelle has been an intern at Cox Lumber and assisting with office duties and customer orders.
Both Halle and Janelle will receive CI$2500 to be used for expenses related to classes this fall.
In honoring the legacy of Cox Lumber's founder Linton Tibbetts, who stressed the importance of community involvement and investing in our youth, Cox Lumber awards two 2500 ci scholarships to cayman students who plan on continuing their education. Congrats to Halle (Halee) Whittaker and Janelle Thomas and good luck form all us of at Cox Lumber - Cayman’s #1 Contractor Supplier!
