The Cayman islands is a melting pot of cultures. This situation is common around the globe as many foreign nationals leave their homeland for better employment opportunities or to find a life partner.
The Cayman Islands is no exception and in the past 30 years many non-Caymanians travelled to these shores for a better wage and also to avoid paying income taxes in their countries.
As a developing newspaper, we find it necessary to publish offshore news in addition to the many local stories that we carry.
We are mindful of the increasing numbers of residents from various territories and understand the need to publish news relating to their homeland.
With this in mind we have added a weekly Friday segment titled Global News Briefs and our editions now cover headlines from Canada, United Kingdom, Phillipines, Cuba, Venezuela and Honduras.
Readers from other jurisdictions may aslo request news publications from their countries by writing to info@caymaniantimes.ky.
