Father and Daughter dead in Single-Vehicle Collision

Just after 7PM on Sunday, 3 April, police and other emergency services were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle collision that occurred on West Church Street, West Bay, near the junction of Henning Lane

The vehicle, a blue Honda Accord, was traveling west along West Church Street with two occupants, a 32-year-old-man of West Bay and his 1-year-old daughter, when the collision occurred. Both the Cayman Islands Fire Service (CIFS) and the Emergency Medical Services were dispatched along with the police. The occupants were removed from the vehicle by the CIFS officers and immediately transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital by ambulance, where they were both pronounced deceased by the attending doctor.

Police officers and CIFS officers were currently on the scene and West Church Street had been closed between the four-way junction and Henning Lane The RCIPS thanked the public for their cooperation and apologizes for any inconveniences caused.

Traffic and Roads Policing Investigators are encouraging anyone with information regarding this collision to call the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit at 649-6254 or the West Bay Police Station at 949-3999.
