The last few days have been interesting to say the least.
Our islands experienced an abnormal weather system that brought more water than we could have imagined. Just a reminder that we need to be ready for anything.
Huge shout out to the officers of the @Cayman Islands Regiment, Cayman Islands Fire Service, Cayman Islands Cadet Corps, Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS), volunteers at the Cayman Islands Red Cross and others who were on the ground assisting residents in their homes. Thank you to members of the NEOC.
They continue to review, evaluate and fine-tune their processes for recovery and response, working with relevant agencies and their leaders to make improvements based on our learnings and public feedback.
