The International College of the Cayman Islands (ICCI) recently inducted seven (7) business students with an Induction Ceremony into the honor society, Sigma Beta Delta (SBD).

Professor Fareed Hosein brought congratulatory remarks to the student inductees, their families, and friends. Keynote speaker was President of ICCI, Dr. Byron Coon. Dr. Coon, Chapter Faculty Advisor Dr. Aleza Beverly, Chapter Administrator Ms. Melisa Hamilton, Chapter Treasurer Ms. Elisa Adriano-Caputo and Chapter Secretary Ms. Donique Brook, presented inductees with the SBD certificates, medals, pins, and the honor cord, which will also be worn at graduation.

SBD members received a lifetime membership in SBD International which includes international networking opportunities, international scholarships and the prestige of being a member of this honor society and displaying it on their resumes for life.

Dr. Coon reminded the inductees that they are to have a lifetime commitment to the principles of wisdom, honor and meaningful service. “As each of you embark on this new chapter as members of Sigma Beta Delta, recognize the responsibilities and opportunities that come with this honor. Important opportunities include networking with like-minded peers that can lead to valuable connections both academically and professionally.”

Sigma Beta Delta National Headquarters fosters professional development by offering workshops, seminars and events that enhance students’ skills and knowledge, which increases their competitive advantage.

Sigma means “wisdom,” Beta refers to “honor” and Delta represents “meaningful aspirations.”
