KPMG BACKS JUNIOR TENNIS

Gordon Rajamohan of KPMG joins winners after the prize-giving at KPMG tournie no.1 last weekend

Statement from Eliza Harford, TFCI president:

The Tennis Federation of the Cayman Islands is delighted to announce, formally, that KPMG has incredibly kindly agreed to sponsor this year’s junior tennis circuit.

The circuit is now known as the KPMG junior circuit.

We are tremendously grateful to KPMG. As some of you may know, the tournaments do not make money, so without a generous sponsor it simply would not be possible to stage these competitions. And without competition, junior players really struggle. Struggle to improve, struggle to find the incentive to work hard, struggle to find a sense of momentum, achievement and progress. So we thank KPMG for ensuring our young players have that vital opportunity to test and develop their skills and stamina against their peers on a regular basis, and enjoy all the resulting benefits.

Together with KPMG, the Federation hopes to build on past successes and forge an even better experience for players this year.

Statement from Gordon Rajamohan, Partner, KPMG in the Cayman Islands:

We are delighted to be supporting the TFCI as the official sponsors of this year’s junior tennis circuit, now known as the KPMG Junior Circuit.

Tennis is something that is very close to my heart, we also have a great competitive corporate team here at KPMG, so we are all very excited to give back to a sport that provides so much to so many.

We look forward to helping promote tennis to children of all ages across the Cayman Islands. The TFCI does a brilliant job at endorsing the sport and we can’t wait to work alongside the Federation to get rackets in hands, encourage sportsmanship, promote teamwork and most importantly, ensure that kids of all ages have fun playing tennis.

The second KPMG tournament of 2023 takes place the weekend of 12 March at the CI Tennis Club.  We hope you will join us there.
