Leticia Goring is CIG Employee of the Month for October

Huge congrats to Leticia Goring for being the Cayman Islands Government Employee of the Month for October.

Ms. Goring is recognized for being Most Helpful and Efficient when executing her duties as Assistant Director of Labour & Pensions (DLP).

Currently employed within the Ministry of Human Resources and Immigration, she started her service as a Research Analyst in the Department of Tourism in January 2011. She moved to the Department of Labour & Pensions as a Senior Pensions Officer in October 2014. Two years later (September 2016), she was promoted to the position she now holds. Ms. Goring is known to go the extra mile in her role and can be counted on to deliver results, no matter the agenda.

Director of Labour & Pensions Mr. Bennard Ebanks acknowledged Ms. Goring’s contributions to the team. "She goes beyond to get the job done and gives the same dedication to customers and fellow employees alike. Leticia is a real team player. She established an electronic newsletter to keep staff abreast of DLP news, and provides opportunities to recognize staff for stellar performance."

Ministry of Human Resources and Immigration Chief Officer recognized Ms Goring for consistently doing a great job, “No task is to small or large for her to tackle”.

Mr Howell also praised Mr. Ebanks and the Labour and Pensions team for the great work the Department produces.

Deputy Governor Franz Manderson said, "This recognition symbolizes and reinforces the values and standards that we expect all staff to exhibit. Ms. Goring serves as a role model for all Cayman Islands Civil Servants. She is described as energetic, courteous and impartial. Although, she has a heavy work load raging from preparing budgets to resolving customer complaints to responding to FOI complaints. She performs her duties with a “can do attitude”.

I am very proud of Ms Goring the Deputy Governor concluded”.
