With effect from Friday, 31 December 2021 (New Year's Eve) liquor licence holders in the category of retail bars are permitted to open until 2 a.m. on Friday nights only, with liquor sales ceasing at 1.50 a.m.
Also only on Friday nights, retail nightclubs may operate until 4 a.m., although sales must cease at 3.50 a.m.
Both these changes are until further notice. Going forward all bars and nightclubs must close at 12 am from Saturday-Thursday. Licence holders are also reminded to adhere to all other conditions of their licenses.
