Man Arrested for DUI Following Collision at Residence

At about 11:20PM yesterday, 14 October, officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision with injuries at a residence on Elizabeth Street in West Bay. It was reported that a Honda CR-V which had been at the location, had collided with two men who were seated outside the residence. The structure of the residence was also damaged in the collision.

Emergency Services attended the location and the two men were transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers attended the scene and spoke to the driver of the vehicle, who appeared to be intoxicated. The man, age 26 of West Bay, was arrested on suspicion of DUI with a reading of 0.263%. He has been granted bail as investigations continue.
