Pink Ladies Bazaar November 2015

Taking place on 25th November from 2 – 5 pm at the Camana Bay Arts and Recreation Centre (ARC), the annual Pink Ladies Bazaar is one Christmas event that should not to be missed. The event is a tradition long-held in the hearts of residents who have lived in the Cayman Islands for any length of time because it embodies the spirit of Christmas and really kicks off the festive season with a swing.

The Pink Ladies Volunteer Corps is a charity group who raise funds for worthy causes all around the island. For 40 years, they have been entertaining young and old with a stream of holiday entertainment at their annual bazaar, hosting such talent as the Cayman Islands National Choir, high school jazz bands, Christmas tunes on violin, and tiny Bollywood dancers.

A modest CI$5 entrance ticket will get each visitor refreshments, and access to home produced jams, preserves and holiday baking prepared by Pink Lady members at the Country Kitchen. There is a large selection of wonderfully attractive craft items made by members, a silent auction, and a raffle table where last year winners came away with over $3,000 worth of raffle prizes. The NCVO will have a white elephant sale table, and the Garden Club will have their plants for sale for very affordable prices. And don’t forget that Santa will be there for the children!

This is one of two fundraisers that the Pink Ladies Volunteer Corps sponsor every year, the other being their annual Fashion Show in the spring. Last year the Pink Ladies were able to give away $45,000 to charities across the island with funds raised from these two events.

If you have not yet purchased your tickets you can get them at the event, so make sure you mark your diaries and don’t miss out on all the fun, while helping raise funds for great causes.
