Meals on Wheels Announces 2nd Annual ‘Wheels for Meals’ Fundraising Event

Meals on Wheels Cayman Islands (MOW) has announced the 2nd annual ‘Wheels for Meals’ fundraising event, hosted at Vital Spinbar & Yogaden in Grand Harbour on Saturday, 22 June from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. This exciting event aims to raise CI$50,000 to support MOW’s senior nutrition programmes, helping to deliver over 7,000 meals to seniors in need throughout our community.

The ‘Wheels for Meals’ event was founded by the Leadership Cayman Class of 2023 as part of their annual community service project. Recognising the significant impact of the charity and the urgent need for additional funding, the event has now been handed over to Meals on Wheels management to ensure its continued success and growth.

“We are immensely grateful for the foundation laid by the Leadership Cayman Class of 2023 and for the continued support from our community,” said Jennifer West, MOW General Manager. “The ‘Wheels for Meals’ event not only helps us raise critical funds but also raises awareness about the urgent needs of our senior citizens. Together, we can make a significant difference in their lives.”

Participants are invited to register a team of up to five members, comprising friends, family, organizations, or community groups. Each team member will take part in one of five back-to-back spin, yoga, or fitness classes, suitable for all fitness levels. The collective goal for each team is to raise a minimum of CI$2,500 to participate in the event.

In addition, all registered participants will receive a 10% discount at the Winners Circle store on all spinning shoes, tops, and cycling shorts from now until the day of the event.
