The Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports, Agriculture and Lands (MEYSAL) advises of several activities and programmes that will be available to its students from January 4-15, 2021. This follows from the Minister for Education Hon. Juliana O’Connor-Connolly’s December 4 announcement that the Ministry has had consultation with the Department of Sports (DOS), the Youth Services Unit (YSU) and the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) to ensure that activities are put in place to engage children and young people during the extended Christmas break.
The scheduled programmes and activities range from one-day events to two-week camps and cater to children from age four upwards.
Dependant on the need, transportation may be provided for some of the activities.
Parents may register their children for these activities and request transportation using the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NSJ38HM.
The YMCA is facilitating registration of their activities on their website www.ymcacayman.ky on Monday December 14 from 1 pm.
In addition to the activities available on the registration sites, website and contact information for various organisations and government departments that may offer programmes and activities are listed in the table:
Term two for Government schools will commence on Monday, January 18, 2021.
MEYSAL will continue to provide any additional updates through the official channels for the latest government news and updates.
