Minister Jay Ebanks Launches A-PATH Grant Program to Support Caymanian Talent in the Planning, Infrastructure, Agriculture, Transport, and Housing Sec

Honourable Johany ‘Jay’ Ebanks, MP and Ministry of Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport, and Development (PAHITD) is thrilled to launch the A-PATH Grant Program. A-PATH, which stands for Advancement in the Cayman Islands through Planning and Infrastructure, Agriculture, Transport, and Housing, offers grants targeting Caymanians between the ages of 18 and 44 who are seeking higher education in the mentioned fields. Applications for the grant program will be open today and will close on January 17, 2025 at 11:59PM. Understanding the paramount importance of the planning, infrastructure, agriculture, transport, and housing (PATH) sectors to the sustainable growth and progress of the Cayman Islands, the A-PATH Grant Program will equip talented Caymanians to contribute effectively to the mentioned sectors. Regarding the grant program, the Honourable Minister Johany ‘Jay’ Ebanks, MP commented, “This is a tremendous opportunity to build local talent in the planning, infrastructure, agriculture, housing and transport sectors. I encourage all eligible Caymanians to apply for this grant program.” To ensure a fair selection process, a dedicated selection committee has been established. The committee will meticulously assess all applications. Successful applicants will be awarded with grants that can contribute to their educational journey in approved tertiary institutions.

Eligible applicants are encouraged to submit their applications to mpahitd@gov.ky .

Applicants will also be required to provide a personal statement outlining their career aspirations and commitment to the continued development of the Cayman Islands.
