Cayman Islands Candidate for Miss World Rashana Hydes

Organizers of Miss World 2021 have announced the grand finale of the 70th edition of the pageant, scheduled for Thursday, December 16th at the Puerto Rico Coliseum, has been postponed due to rising COVID-19 cases amongst the contestants; the health and safety of other contestants, staff, production crew and the general public.

“We know this is disappointing but we understand and support the Miss World organization on this decision. Our Cayman candidate, Rashana Hydes is safe and well and will be returning home on Friday Dec 17th at 2:30pm.” Miss World Cayman Islands Committee Director Pamela Ebanks-Small said.

Rashana commented from Puerto Rico “I am safe and blessed and will continue to trust God, lean on my support system and adapt to our ever changing circumstances with a grateful heart.” The Miss World Organization announced the finale will be rescheduled and held at Puerto Rio Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot within the next 90 days.
