The Ministry of Education (MOE) is pleased to announce the launch of the inaugural Education Month in October.

Held under the theme “Celebrating Education, One Victory at a Time,” Education Month aims to showcase the transformative power of education and celebrate achievements within the local education sector. It will also create a platform for dialogue among educators, students, and the wider community.

Premier and Minister for Education, the Honourable Juliana O’Connor-Connolly, emphasized the significance of this initiative: “Education Month is not just a celebration; it is a declaration of our unwavering commitment to improving education. Each victory we highlight represents a step towards a brighter future for our youth and our nation as a whole. By nurturing critical thinking, creativity, and a passion for learning, we are not just building a world-class education system – we are shaping the very fabric of our society and empowering the people of the Cayman Islands to excel on the global stage.”

Key elements of Education Month include:

a. A church service at the Victory Tabernacle on Sunday, 29 September to launch the month’s activities.

b. The Regional Transforming Education Symposium & Policy Dialogue in the Cayman Islands from 2-4 October.

c. Curriculum Displays showcasing student achievements and innovative teaching methods in all schools.

d. The release of a series of short videos highlighting educational successes.

The Ministry of Education encourages all residents to actively participate in Education Month activities and join in recognising the pivotal role of education in shaping the future of the Cayman Islands.
