Just after 6pm on Sunday, 4 August, police and other emergency services were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle collision in West Bay involving a dirt bike.
The rider lost control of the dirt bike when traveling northeast on Watercourse Road in the vicinity of Ruby Lane. He fell into the opposite lane and was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
The rider was responsive at the scene, and was transported to the hospital for treatment. Just before 2AM this morning, 5 August, he succumbed to his injuries.
The roadway has been closed between Hillandale drive and Alexandria Close for the duration of this morning while Traffic and Roads Policing Unit conducts investigations.
