As a part of the Tourism Attraction Board’s (TAB) Workplace Wellness employee initiative, management and staff from the national attractions donated gifts of clothing to the residents of the Pines Retirement Home.
TAB Financial Accountant, Laurence Robinson presented the gifts to Pines Manager, Lynda Mitchell on Wednesday 15th December as staff gathered for a Christmas luncheon. “We find it fitting for our wellness committee to donate to an organization like yours because our mission and values align where we try to enhance wellness of our individual members and the society as a whole. We hope this brings some joy to your residents and we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year,” said Mr. Laurence.
All Pines residents will receive a gift from the donations made by staff of the TAB, Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park, Pedro St. James Castle, Hell Geological Site, and Cayman Craft Market.
“We are very thankful for the community support, and your generosity will make a difference in the lives of our residents,” expressed Mrs. Mitchell. “Our residents will be so happy to receive the gifts on Christmas Day,” she added.
TAB Director, Patrick Thompson said this is what Christmas is all about. “With the commitment of our staff, we aim to spread love and give hope to the elderly who reside at the Pines. We want to let them know that we are thinking of them this Christmas," he said.
