The Needs Assessment Unit (NAU) is pleased to report that it held on 9 May 2024, a Grand Opening ceremony for its new, larger and more accommodating office in Cayman Brac. This milestone reaffirms the NAU’s commitment to delivering exceptional services to individuals and families in need within our community.
The new office, situated at Unit 8 Avistar Building #1, West End Road, Cayman Brac, offers increased space and upgraded amenities, enabling the NAU to streamline operations and provide enhanced services to clients. The larger site will allow the NAU to provide a more modern and comfortable setting for their clients in Cayman Brac which are largely older persons.
The Hon. André Ebanks, Acting Premier, and Minister of Investment, Innovation and Social Development gave official remarks and shared that, “It was an honour to attend the Grand Opening, not just as a representative of our government, but as a steward of our collective commitment to reimagining social development. Cutting the ribbon symbolised more than just the opening of a new office—it signified our investment to innovate the area of social development in our community. Together, we continue to build more inclusive and compassionate social development services knowing that each step forward brings us closer to a brighter, more equitable future for all.”
“This Grand Opening Ceremony marks a significant milestone for the Needs Assessment Unit,” said Tamara Hurlston, Director at NAU. “We are committed to ensuring that our clients receive the support and assistance they need to thrive, and this move will enable us to do so more effectively than ever before.”
The NAU plays a crucial role in our community by offering financial assistance to individuals facing various challenges. The transition to a larger site reflects the organisation’s dedication to adapting and growing alongside the evolving needs of the community it serves. “We are confident that this relocation will not only enable us to better serve our current clients but also reach out to more individuals who require our assistance,” added Tamara. “We eagerly anticipate welcoming clients to our new location and continuing to make a positive impact in their lives.”
Special thanks are extended to Sasha Conolly and Deputy Director Justin Ebanks for their invaluable contributions to the successful relocation of the Needs Assessment Unit to its new site in Cayman Brac. Your dedication and support have been instrumental in enabling the NAU to enhance its services and better cater to the needs of our community. We are immensely grateful for your continued commitment to fostering positive social development in the Cayman Islands.
The NAU commenced operations at the new site on April 29, 2024. Clients and stakeholders can expect the same level of dedication and professionalism from the NAU team as they transition to the new location.
