Shortly after 6:40PM on Saturday, 15 February, officers responded to a report of an assault incident at a bar on Watering Place Road in Cayman Brac. It was reported that three men at the location had been involved in an altercation, during which one man was struck with a machete. The victim was transported to the Faith Hospital by private vehicle. He was later transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital in George Town where he remains in stable condition.
The other two men, ages 28 and 31, both residing in Cayman Brac, were arrested on suspicion of assault GBH. They have both been granted bail with conditions pending further investigation.
