At around 1:30PM today, police responded to a report of shots fired in the vicinity of North Side Road, North Side.
Police are currently on the scene and have arrested one man, and seized a firearm. Initial enquiries indicate the incident was the result of an attempted robbery which led to an altercation.
The arrested man and one other man involved received minor injuries and were transported to hospital for treatment.
It appears that shots were fired during the incident, however no persons were shot.
The matter is currently under investigation.
