RBC Royal Bank has officially launched its annual Cayman edition of RBC Race for the Kids - a 5K charity run/walk event that will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Registration for the event is open and the Bank is inviting individuals, teams, families, and sporting groups to participate in the Race, which supports youth and children’s causes.
“This year, I am pleased to share that Cayman’s RBC Race for the Kids event will benefit One2One, formerly known as Big Brothers and Sisters – a non-profit organization that aims to provide children, youth, and young adults with positive, sustainable mentoring relationships,” said Khadene Lobban, Area Vice President, Personal & Private Banking and Country Head for RBC Royal Bank, Cayman Islands.
“By partnering with organizations that create healthy environments for youth, we demonstrate our commitment to unlock potential, promise and purpose within the communities we serve. We know how formative life’s early experiences are, which is why we believe empowering youth to reach their full potential is a great investment,” added Lobban.
Kendell Pierre, One2One Board Chair, highlighted their mission: “we believe in the power of genuine, one-to-one mentorship to ignite personal growth, resilience, and confidence in children, youth & young adults.”
Pierre expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting, “we are thrilled to partner with RBC, exemplifying how community partners, volunteers, and corporate sponsors can work together to build a supportive network and expand our impact. It is through these meaningful partnerships that One2One provides valuable mentoring services to children, youth, and young adults so they can overcome obstacles and build life skills to achieve their dreams,” Pierre explained.
The funds raised at the Race for the Kids event will help create a positive difference in the lives of young people in Cayman – a place where children, youth and young adults can explore their passions, develop life skills, and build meaningful relationships.
RBC Race for the Kids is a global initiative that brings communities together to run, walk, and wheel in support of youth charities, surpassing $100 million CAD fundraised to-date! Within the Caribbean, these community building races occur in Cayman and Trinidad and Tobago.
