Government has issued a brief press release giving a short overview of current large projects in which it is involved with the Dart Consortium.
The Integrated Solid Waste Management System Project (known as ReGen) which government had entered into with Dart expired at the end of last month but it has terminated with several issues remaining unresolved.
At the same time, government is in discussion on the National Roads Authority development agreement and is also pursuing separate discussions with a view to buying land in Barkers National Park.
Following the termination of the ReGen project, government has to pay invoices totalling up to $17.7 million for work completed by the Dart Consortium and verified by government. This work was carried out at the Consortium’s cost and ahead of financial close, with the intent to reduce the length of the build programme for the new ISWMS project facilities, government stated.
