Rotary Club of The Cayman Islands Sunset Officially Launched

The Rotary family in Grand Cayman is thrilled to announce the establishment of its newest chapter, Rotary Club of the Cayman Islands Sunset (Rotary Sunset) .  The club received its official charter from Rotary International on May 03, 2023, paving the way for impactful community initiatives and fostering strong bonds of friendship.  The momentous occasion was celebrated on June 29, 2023, with a joyous Charter Night event attended by distinguished guests and 26 charter members were inducted.

The Charter Night celebration, held at The Wharf Restaurant was an evening of camaraderie and heartfelt enthusiasm as the charter members, along with Rotary International Director Jeremy Hurst, District Governor Deborah Howell and District Governor Elect David Kirkaldy and other esteemed guests gathered to inaugurate the newest addition to the Rotary family.

Rotary Sunset of the Cayman Islands is now part of Rotary International, a globally recognized organization renowned for its commitment to service above self. With a diverse group of passionate and dedicated individuals coming together to serve the community, the club is poised to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those it touches.

“We are thrilled to welcome Rotary Sunset of the Cayman Islands as our newest Rotary Club,” said District Governor Deborah Howell. “Their passion for service and dedication to making a positive difference in their community is truly inspiring. I have no doubt that this club will accomplish great things, and we look forward to supporting their endeavors.”

As an officially chartered Rotary Club, Rotary Sunset of the Cayman Islands will now have the resources, guidance, and network of Rotary International to further their community service projects and humanitarian efforts. From local outreach initiatives to international service projects, the club’s members are eager to put their skills and talents to work, leaving a lasting impact on the lives they touch.

Charter Club President Monica Ramgeet expressed gratitude and excitement about the club’s charter, stating, “We are overjoyed to have received our official charter and are humbled to be a part of the Rotary family. Rotary Sunset of the Cayman Islands is committed to upholding Rotary’s principles and values while forging ahead to create a brighter and more compassionate community. Together, we believe that our impact will be far-reaching and transformative.”

Rotary Sunset of the Cayman Islands welcomes individuals from all walks of life to join its ranks and be a part of this incredible journey of service, friendship, and personal growth. By becoming a member of Rotary Sunset, individuals will have the opportunity to make a significant difference while forming lifelong connections with like-minded individuals.
