With their Cazique at the helm, and plenty of Quixotic Chutzpah, eight Whizbang teams Maximized an evening of networking (and points) last month on KPMG’s terrace.
Scrabble anyone?
Rotary Sunrise marked the eleventh anniversary of one of their favorite fun-filled frolics (alas no points for alliteration) that they call the Scrabble Scrum. As the clock ticked toward the ten-minute mark, teams of corporate challengers scrambled to fill their boards in a bid for the coveted trophy.
PWC, with a long history of successes behind them was once again the big winner with two teams at the top. PWC 1, whose team was called the Pdubs, were the triumphant champions, scoring over 3,100 points, while the PWC2 team, the Scramblers, were only 13 points behind in second place. DART’s team, Lost For Words was a close third. DART, KPMG, and Ogier and Rotary Sunset picked up the remaining points.
The evening was Rotary Sunrise’s annual fund raiser for their literacy initiatives on our islands. They extend their thanks to KPMG for the great venue and set-up, the Brasserie for catering, and the more than thirty Rotarians who organized and ran the event.
