Setting the Record Straight again on CPR’s Biased Survey

By: The Steering Committee of The Association for the Advancement of Cruise Tourism (ACT)

The Association for the Advancement of Cruise Tourism (ACT) would like to address the recent survey being circulated by Cruise Port Referendum (CPR) Cayman.

While ACT fully supports open dialogue and healthy debate, we must highlight that CPR’s survey appears biased and crafted to push a specific agenda, misleading the public rather than gathering objective opinions.

It is of interest that the CPR group claims honesty and transparency and yet if a respondent utilizes an alternate email address “real or not” THEY CAN VOTE MORE THAN ONCE, potentially skewing the survey results in favor of their intended outcome !

ACT has also had its own survey available publicly for the last 30 days. Unlike CPR’s survey, ours ensures fairness by allowing only one vote per person, making sure each response counts.

We encourage everyone to participate and take an honest look at the facts surrounding cruise tourism and its importance to the Cayman Islands.

We ask the public to approach both sides of this debate with critical thinking and not be swayed by one-sided narratives.

Let’s engage thoughtfully and ensure that we move forward with decisions that truly benefit all Caymanians.

Lets ACT and VOTE YES in this extremely important referendum initiative as our Caymanian way of life truly depends on it.

Caymankind Regards,

The Steering Committee of The Association for the Advancement of Cruise Tourism (ACT)
