Sotheby’s Cayman home sale a record-breaker

Cayman Islands Sotheby’s International Realty agent, Nikki Broadhurst

The Peninsular, the highest priced single-family home ever recorded in the Cayman Islands, has recently been sold, with the sale conducted by Cayman Islands Sotheby’s International Realty agent, Nikki Broadhurst.

The property, a luxury, expansive estate spanning 1.75 acres within the highly sought-after Crystal Harbour gated community, was one of the most exclusive of all Cayman Islands real estate listings, with amenities to rival some of the world’s most prestigious properties, including a private granite and marble driveway, five air-conditioned parking garages, six spacious bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a 45-foot Koi pond, a 700-bottle wine cellar and a separate 21-seat home theatre and bar - 25,000-square foot of sheer luxury.

Nikki’s achievement comes as Cayman Islands Sotheby’s International Realty, an all-female owned firm, positions itself as Cayman’s leading real estate agency for ultra-high-end properties, having also sold another property, Jambo, only slightly below The Peninsula’s record-breaking price, sold by agent Heather Carrigan. Cayman Islands Sotheby’s International Realty owner Sheena Conolly also broke records with her sale of Coconut Walk, the highest priced sale on Seven Mile Beach and, at the time of sale, this was the highest priced sale in this category. In fact, Cayman Islands Sotheby’s International Realty has sold/ listed the top three highest priced property sales in the Cayman Islands in the single-family residential category, making them a real estate force to be reckoned with.

Cayman Islands Sotheby’s International Realty also has the two highest priced single-family homes listed, with Cayman Islands Sotheby’s International Realty agent Heather Carrigan having the listing for Castillo Caribe and Jonathan Sparrow with Sea of Dreams.

The website was relaunched in 2020 to ensure they connected more successfully with a broader audience, and it now features translations in 14 languages, along with almost 60 currency conversions. It would be nice to disclose the price when talking real-estate that info is not private so people have an idea of the market scale
